Melanie Knowles, Principal

Melanie Knowles is proud to serve as principal of Bailey Bridge Middle School.  Mrs. Knowles grew up in Chesterfield County and graduated from Manchester High School.  She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Virginia State University, and has 27 years of experience in education.  Prior to becoming principal at Bailey Bridge, she served as a Spanish teacher and assistant principal at Hopewell High School, assistant principal at Carver Middle School, and principal at Falling Creek Middle School.  Mrs. Knowles is overjoyed to serve the Bailey Bridge Middle School students, staff, and families and is proud to be part of such a strong, dedicated, and caring school community.

Robin Woodfolk, Assistant Principal

Robin Woodfolk is a Virginia native and proud graduate of Charlottesville High School! She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from James Madison University, and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. This year marks Ms. Woodfolk’s 13th year in education, having served in a variety of roles working with diverse student populations on the elementary through post-secondary levels. Most recently, she has spent the last seven years as an English teacher and program coordinator in Henrico County. Ms. Woodfolk is quite excited to continue her next adventure in education – in service of the students, families, teachers, and staff at Bailey Bridge Middle School for the 2020-21 school year!

Lesley Jones, Assistant Principal

Lesley Jones graduated from Longwood College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education NK-8 and earned her Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019. Mrs. Jones has spent 19 years in the middle school setting where she taught Social Studies. Mrs. Jones enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and two dogs.

Patrick Bradley, Dean of Students

Patrick Bradley graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He later received his Master's in Education from the University of South Florida. He moved to the Chesterfield County Area in 2022 and has nine years of experience working in all levels of education, including K-12 and Higher Education. During his time as a teacher, he has served in numerous roles that help promote student success in and beyond the classroom. Mr. Bradley spends his free time playing video games, sports, and enjoying life with his family while working on his Educational Leadership Endorsement at Longwood University.
